Village at the Park

ABOUT US

Village at the Park is owned by a company which is made up of three parties. The Tenths Trust originally owned the land and they have gone into partnership with the Hurst/Pratley Group in order to develop the village. Hurst Holdings Ltd has the responsibility for the operation of the complex, whilst the Pratley Group is responsible for the Project Management and development of the site.

The directors include – Dr Ngata Love, Matene Love, Dr Leo Buchanan and Sir Paul Reeves (from the Tenths Trust), Ian Hurst, Doug Hurst and Geoff McPhail (from Hurst Holdings Ltd) and Terry Pratley (from the Pratley Group). The directors are involved in companies which own several other facilities including two retirement villages and two aged care facilities – Mary Doyle Retirement Village in Havelock North, Strathallan Retirement Village in South Canterbury, Oxford Court Resthome in Dunedin.

Mary Leighton is the Village Manager who is responsible for the entire complex, villa and apartment sales as well as the ongoing support of residents living in the units.
